Menswear Manager

Associated Retailers Ltd is a growing member based retail business located in Richmond. ARL provides buying and marketing services to a range of retail markets including sports & leisure, fishing and tackle, toys, textiles, clothing and footwear.

We are now looking for a Menswear Manager to join our dynamic Textiles, Clothing and Footwear team reporting to the TCF General Manager. We are seeking a “hands on” manager with the view to further developing their management skills and experience. The key objective of this role is to maximise sales and income through product development, selection, ranging, pricing and promotion activities. There will be a focus on the effective development and management of relationships with suppliers and “member” retailers.

Key activities for this role will include:

•  Development and execution of category sales and marketing plans
•  Sales forecasting, analysis and reporting
•  Negotiation of trading terms
•  Facilitation and involvement in Retail and Product Advisory Groups
•  Monitoring and controlling procurement activities
•  Active involvement in trade fairs, conferences and other buying events
•  Business development and planning
•  Adherence to compliance obligations as stipulated by Trade Practices Act

The successful candidate will demonstrate experience in a Category Management or General Wholesale/Retail Management positions; and possess knowledge of retail/wholesale menswear industry, product and supply chain. Relevant degree qualification preferred but not essential. Ideally applicants will have skills commensurate with at least 3-5 years of relevant experience.

This relatively autonomous position will provide you with the opportunity to grow and develop within the Menswear division with plenty of challenges in a progressive organisation.
